Christmas Community Giveback: Honoring the Legacy of Sergeant Lee Sorensen

This Christmas season, our community came together in a way that truly embodies the spirit of giving — with love, service, and gratitude. We had the incredible privilege of remodeling the home of Lanette Sorensen, the widow of Fallen Sergeant Lee Sorensen, who was tragically and killed in the line of duty in August 2025.

When we first heard Lee’s story, our hearts immediately went out to his family. Sergeant Sorensen was more than a dedicated officer — he was a husband, a father, a neighbor, and a friend to so many. His bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten, and we wanted to find a way to honor his legacy in a meaningful and lasting way.

A Home Filled With Love

In partnership with local businesses, volunteers, and tradespeople, our team joined forces to give the Sorensen family’s Garland, Utah home a much-needed refresh. From new flooring and paint to updated lighting and thoughtful design touches, every part of this project was completed with care and intention. Mellen Glass, out of Brigham City, generously donated a their time and materials for a new front room window.

Each brush stroke, and late night of hard work represented a community’s love — a small way to give back to a family that has already given so much.

A Lasting Tribute

While no project can erase the pain of loss, we hope this remodeled home offers the Sorensen family a renewed sense of peace, comfort, and stability. This Christmas Giveback wasn’t just about renovating a house — it was about restoring hearts, and celebrating the light that can shine even in the darkest times.

From all of us involved, we want to say thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported this cause. Because of your kindness, the Sorensen family will walk into a refreshed home filled with love, remembrance, and the spirit of Christmas.
